Administrative FrameworkGomti Task Force constituted in January 2025 under NMCG.
Includes representatives from State Clean Ganga Mission, Irrigation Department, Pollution Control Board, Jal Nigam, Lucknow Municipal Corporation, and Lucknow Development Authority, along with environmental experts.
Monitoring MechanismMonthly review meetings of the Gomti Task Force.
Quarterly progress reports submitted to the Chief Minister's Office.
Ensure financial and logistical support for uninterrupted work.
Current Status39 major drains discharge into the river; 13 remain untreated.
6 STPs currently operational along the river.
About Gomti River960-km long tributary of the Ganga River.
Originates from Madho Tanda in Pilibhit district and merges with Ganga at Kaithi, Ghazipur.
