Why in the news?Rajasthan unveiled its first Green Budget for 2025-26, focusing on sustainable development with a total outlay of ₹5.37 lakh crore.
Green Initiatives₹27,854 crore allocated, Climate Change Adaptation Plan-2030, 10 crore trees, Centre of Excellence for Climate Change (₹150 crore), Waste to Wealth Parks, Vehicle Scrap Policy.
Water & Sanitation20 lakh new water connections, ₹5,830 crore for Jal Jeevan Mission (Urban), 1,000 tubewells, 1,500 handpumps, Water harvesting in 4,700+ villages (₹2,700 crore).
Energy & PowerAdditional 6,400 MW power generation, 5,700 MW ongoing projects, 10 GW private sector production, 50,000 new agriculture connections, 5 lakh domestic connections.
Infrastructure & Transport₹5,000 crore for highways, ₹60,000 crore for 9 Greenfield Expressways, ₹6,000 crore for 21,000 km roads, ₹500 crore Atal Pragati Path for rural towns.
Agriculture₹9,300 crore for Ram Jal Setu Link Pariyojana, ₹1,250 crore subsidy for Drip & Sprinkler Irrigation, ₹900 crore for solar pumps, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi increased to ₹9,000/year, ₹150 per quintal MSP bonus for wheat.

Social Security & Welfare₹1,250/month social security pension, 35,000 scooters for girls, milk for Anganwadi children increased to 5 days/week, ₹20,000 for artificial limbs, 10 lakh new NFSA beneficiaries.
