Key Points- Women's empowerment initiative by Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) under the 'Maati Kala Shilp' scheme.- Over 200 women trained in clay techniques, producing items like Sanchi stupas, diyas, ornamental vessels, animal figurines, and toys.- Women earn a stable monthly income of ₹14,000 to ₹15,000.- Production scaled to around 5,000 garlands monthly, with a private hotel chain ordering approximately 2,000 garlands per month.- Training includes soil preparation, moulding, drying, finishing, and quality control processes.
Narmada River- 1,312 km long, originating from Amarkantak peak of Maikal mountain, flows into the Gulf of Khambhat.- Drains areas in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.- Flows through a rift valley between Vindhya Range and Satpura Range.- Major tributaries: Hiran, Tendori, Barna, Kolar, Man, Uri, Hatni, Orsang (right); Burner, Banjar, Sher, Shakkar, Dudhi, Tawa, Ganjal, Chhota Tawa, Kundi, Goi, Karjan (left).- Major dams: Omkareshwar and Maheshwar.
