Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO)- Introduced in 2008, inspired by a 2002 recommendation to amend the Companies Act, 1956. - Registered Under: Companies Act, 2013, Societies Registration Act, 1860, or Indian Trusts Act, 1882. - Objective: Facilitates bulk input procurement, better bargaining power, and fair price realization for small and marginal farmers. - Impact: Improves market access, supports doubling farmers' income, and enables global market entry.
